Project Title
Bhool - A Short Film
Description
Bhool is a short film based on my research on nostalgia and its impact on psychological well-being. The aim of the research was to explore how nostalgia manifests in individuals. The results of the research showed that nostalgic recall reminded the majority (88.1%) of the participants of the importance of their social connections and relationships and helped improve them. However, nostalgia also negatively impacted individuals who were reminded of tragic memories. Inspired by this, Bhool's narrative follows the idea of memory and longing, and how our relationship with the past affects our relationships with individuals in the present. It is an exploration of grief, denial, remembrance, and acceptance of the past as it is.
